This is a well produced novel, as beautiful to look at as interesting to read.
While there is an apocalyptic event occurring in the novel, the story is not so much about the apocalypse, it's about people - wanting to live their best life that is possible with hardships hitting right and left.
People that alternate between wanting to hang on to their secrets, regardless of the state of the world - or just not caring anymore and letting everything bottled up inside of them out - and there are many secrets that end up being revealed in this book.
This book is filled with direct writing, filled with intent - no overt fluff to fill the pages. Then there is the twisty shock right in the middle of the book...
The question to the reader is, how can there be a happy ending when the world is dying, and will the ending be sufficient to you?
